I had to get up early today so I got out into the garden to check on my plants. I was filling up the watering can while Simba was sniffing at my herbs. When I went to water them, I caught him with one of my ripening strawberries in his mouth! I tried to shoo him away but I wasn't quick enough - he managed to bite off half the strawberry! This won't do at all! I had to move my strawberry plants to a higher location.

My sage is growing beautifully - lots of new little seedlings are sprouting up in the pot. The basil that Mr and Mrs Pelle gave me has picked up heaps too. I've been pinching off the flowers as soon as they appear to keep the plants producing more leaves and branching out. In the background of the photo is what's left of my mizuna after I cut it all down. It had grown so tall and started flowering so I hope that by cutting it all off it will encourage new growth.
I wasn't very hungry tonight. I just had made
Mushroom Soup and had some
Fruit Salad before turning in early.
