FLEUR'S BABY SHOWER!

'Tis the baby season!

We had such a busy day today putting together this baby shower. With my awesome helpers, Sarah and Rachel, we pulled it off. Full catering, full service with the drinks, and cleanup done throughout the day so we didn't have much to do at the end of the evening. Perhaps we should quit our day jobs and start a business...

Our 'Guess the Baby' game.

IVY'S BABY SHOWER

Today we celebrated the impending doom - I mean, the joyous upcoming birth - of Ivy and Benoit's first (of many!?) offspring.

We had an afternoon tea style gathering with lots of finger food!

Here are some of the dishes I made:

Mini Fruit Salads with Yoghurt

Mini Florentines

Finger Sandwiches

The soon-to-be-grandmothers also brought heaps of food - we nearly ran out of room on the table!

Thursday 23rd August 2012

Jocelyn and David's birthdays are coming up and I won't be in town to celebrate with them so we went out to dinner tonight with Mum at Yuki.

I picked up some cakes from Globe Coffee House in South Perth for dessert afterwards.

It's finally here.

My 30th birthday.

I celebrated it with an 80's theme...much to the horror of some folks!

Mum did alot of cooking and friends of the family helped with the BBQ.

Jocelyn was very proud of her cupcakes with Stargate chevrons.

Christina made my birthday cake(s). All three of them!

My own puddle jumper!

Friday 13th April 2012

We celebrated Kok's 30th at the Aviary tonight. I was looking forward to a nice steak.

We were served complimentary Mushroom Broth palate cleansers to start.

My filet mignon did not disappoint - for $40 you'd hope not!

The meat was soooooo tender and juicy.

Too bad they stuffed up the order for our table. They somehow cooked twice the number of steaks that were ordered so anyone who ordered other dishes had to wait over an hour after the steaks came out to get theirs.

The Pork Belly apparently wasn't that great. Too fatty and the skin wasn't crisp enough.

Later, we headed out for supper as most of us were not quiet satisfied with dinner. We headed to Northbridge and got a table at City Garden.

Congee!

Sizzling Japanese Tofu

Garlic Kang Kong

Was this Yammy Duck?

Crispy Skin Chicken with Plum Powder

Sunday 8th April 2012

Today's the day!

Ling and Shallen's wedding is finally here. Us girls woke up soooooo early this morning and began the process of hair, makeup and getting dressed.

Champers!

We'll skip ahead to the dinner reception at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre!

It was a gorgeously intimate reception.

The tower of cupcakes and at the summit, a pandan cake with butter frosting.

One of the best nights of my life.

SHALLEN'S HENS DAY

We had a loooong day ahead of us...but we were ready! Bring. It. On.

ROCHELLE ADONIS
193 Brisbane Street, Northbridge

We kick started the day with high tea at this gorgeous little store. The decor was classy and shabby chic...the perfect setting for a bunch of well dressed ladies!

Course One - disappointingly average...

A gorgeous sorbet for cleansing the palate before the sweets.

Course Two - the sweets!

The highlight of the sweets was this little glass of some nougat icecream. Yum!

We hit the Brisbane for drinks next.

We progressed to the Ellington Jazz Club for nibblies and some live music.

We danced the rest of the night away at the Hip-e Club.

Feeling pekish, we headed to City Garden for supper.

Woo! Awesome night out girls!
