*raises her glass* "A toast: while most people eat to live, I live to eat. There's nothing like enjoying a delicious home-cooked meal with a fine bottle of wine in the company of fantastic friends. To life!"

I'm trying to clear out my freezer so I brought some food into work today for no reason.
Portuguese Chicken Drumsticks on a bed of Cous Cous with Pinenuts.
I keep the pan juices from the cooked chicken and mix that into the cous cous to flavour it.
With some pork mince I thawed out from the freezer, I fried some leek and onion up with ground cumin and coriander and mixed it through the mince to make these sausage rolls. Yum!
DINNER AT FLEUR & NOEL'S
We were treated to an Indian feast tonight at our dear friends' home!
The main Beef dish - I forget what it was!
Dhal
Raita
Paneer Curry
Roti
For dessert - these Paneer balls soaked in yoghurt.
Sarah brought a massage fruit platter!

A few days ago I started making mini florentines for Ivy's baby shower on the weekend.
It's a really easy recipe I found in one of the Women's Weekly cook books I have.

We had lunch again today to mark the last day of one of the girls. Not that we need an excuse to eat...
It was an Indian-Polish feast!

Ursula brought in these gorgeous homemade dumplings today at work. Good thing Brendan wasn't at work today...there wouldn't have been any left! Some where vegetarian and some were beef and cheese. Yummo!
THE GREENHOUSE
Hand harvested brown rice with marron, mussels and saffron.
My gosh, I didn't think I would be able to get through so much rice, but I couldn't stop eating...the flavours were absolutely amazing! And I loved the texture of the rice. It was cooked perfectly. Not gluggy or undercooked. Just perfect. Would have liked a bit more seafood though!
Orange blossom frozen yoghurt with lilly pilly berries.
The frozen yoghurt was divine and refreshing. However, it was really well hidden beneath alot of fruit. I had to keep digging but only managed to get a bit of the frozen yoghurt out before I gave up. It was such a large serve too! I would have liked it better if they just gave me a scoop of the yoghurt with a few slices of the fruit on the side.

Although not an official 'lunch day' at work, Neelam brought in enough for us all to share! She made these gorgeous little homemade rolls stuffed with, I suppose it was sort of like a caponata.
Neelam's Spicy Tuna
When Neelam was telling us how she cooks her spicy tuna, I realised that I use the exact same ingredients to cook okra. It's amazing how just by changing the amounts you use and replacing a few ingredients (or in this case, just one ingredient!) you can come up with an entirely different dish! Love it!

It's that time again! Our theme was going to healthy sandwiches, so we had fresh sliced bread, tomatoes, cucumber, cheese and fruit salad. As well as other dishes that aren't quite so...healthy. But sooo delicious! We are quickly growing out list of favourite foods that each person cooks!

Rucha recommended we get takeout from the King of Taste Indian Restaurant in Leederville. She ordered over the phone and had the food delivered to us - free of charge!
The curries were absolutely delicious! A pity there wasn't enough meat in them...but we mopped up all the sauces with the pappadums and naan.
