THE WITCHES CAULDRON
89 Rokeby Road, Subiaco

Vince and I treated ourselves today for lunch to celebrate his birthday. He hasn't been to the Witches Cauldron before.

We went and had the two course business lunch special for $39 each.

These are the entrees we had:

Vince: Chilli Squid

Myself: Deep fried Camembert

Oh my gosh these were sooo moreish!! The cheese was soft and gooey inside the crusty crumb shell. Definitely would go well with a large glass of red.

I would have been full after just the entree. There was a little side of thinly sliced garlic bread and some fresh salad with a really delicious vinegrette dressing.

For our mains we had:

Vince: Lamb Fillet

Myself: Warm Mushroom Salad

This was far too much for me to eat. yes, it's a huge bowl of several different varieties of mushrooms, half an avocado and salad. The entrees appeared to be nicely presented whereas the main courses looked like they were thrown together rather haphazardly. Certainly not the level of presentation you'd expect in a fine dining restaurant.

In hindsight, I probably should have just ordered their reknowned garlic prawns and perhaps would have been able to finish that. Next time perhaps!

Dinner
Ham & Pasta Soup

A hearty soup with diced ham, onion, garlic, celery, leek and carrots.
