Sardines in Tomato Sauce with Onion Sandwich


Yes. I love sardines. I know it might sound strange to non-sardine eaters but I love how the spine dissolves between your teeth when you eat them. I can eat sardines straight out of the can. Mum knows I like sardines so she bought this can recently for me to try. I haven't tried this brand before. Quite nice. You get three to four good sized sardines in the can, in a rich tomato sauce.

I stopped by the shops for some groceries tonight. I felt like steak.

I made a potato bake using a packet mixture of creamy potato bake sauce. You add some milk (cream optional) and whisk the lumps out. I also sprinkled some grated pecorino over the top.

The potato bake looked awesome when it came out of the oven but it tasted pretty crap. Edible but I wouldn't buy that sauce again. I only found it in the pantry and I'm trying to do a pantry spring clean.

I made the sauce using Philadelphia's cooking cream cheese again but it made the sauce too sweet. I know I came to this conclusion before but I wanted to try it again just to be sure. Definitely not good to use in a steak sauce.
