Omelette with Asparagus, Mushrooms and Spring Onions

Bacon, Leek and Mushroom Quiche with Salad
*raises her glass* "A toast: while most people eat to live, I live to eat. There's nothing like enjoying a delicious home-cooked meal with a fine bottle of wine in the company of fantastic friends. To life!"

The large one turned out more like a deep pan pizza because the pastry and filling sank down heaps after baking. The smaller quiches were much better. I need to find myself a deeper flan dish.

I had a few friends over for dinner tonight. I tried to cook the spicy potatoes that Ramona made for me the other night and it turned out great but I had to make some adjustments. For starters, I could have sworn I had turmeric at home, but I didn't. So, I used some saffron for a splash of colour and flavour. I also didn't have any green chillies at home so I added some sliced fresh spring onions for some colour. That's what cooking is all about...improvising and using what you have!

I forget the name - some sort of Almond Meal cookie. I enjoyed it because it wasn't sweet.
For many months now, I have been pestering one of my fellow workers, Perry, to put his money where his mouth is and make his mouth watering, reputably out-of-this-world moussaka. With our Mediterranean theme today, he could not escape the challenge anymore.
