Today I got up and finished off the jelly cups that I made last night. There was only the 'lite' jelly crystals left over from when Jocelyn was on her jelly diet so that had to do. I hope that they don't taste funny because I try to steer away from using 'lite' products because they taste flavourless or really artificial.

Jelly Cups

Not having had much sleep last night, I had a nap with Simba before getting up and heading out to Bunnings.

Some new additions to my garden:

cabbages - planted in the garden bed
mini cauliflower
roma tomato plant
'cherry yellow' tomato plant
yellow capsicum plant
'green zebra' tomato plant

I also bought more spinach seedlings as I have finally given up on the seeds that I've been trying to germinate. I've read online that spinach can be difficult to grow from seeds and I am having to agree at this point. I've tried two batches and they can take up to three weeks to germinate so I've spent alot of time on it thus far! I'm going to start a new batch of basil from seeds since my last batch died. My mum had put them outside in the sun, thinking she was doing me a favour, but didn't bring them back inside and they dried out.

Ah yes, dinner time. Two-thirds of the people who were supposed to come to dinner piked on me. So, instead we went out to eat in the city. Lazy ass buggers who didn't want to make the drive to my place for dinner. You know who you are =/

We went to the Big Bowl on William Street, Northbridge. A very small little shop but their food looked great.

One thing that always amuses me at Chinese restaurants is how they indicate the 'wetness' of a noodle dish by describing it as 'wet' or 'dry'. Heehee

Sarena & Dau - combination ho fun (WET)

Benoit - mixed dumpling soup
Ivy - not sure...chicken and noodle soup?
Kenny - combination noodles with cheese
Long - some other noodles with cheese

Yes that's right...there was a section of the menu with noodle dishes where they come with CHEESE. They looked interesting but too cheesy for me. Sort of like a fusion between Chinese and Italian - an asian pasta bake.

After dinner Long had a craving for fresh coconut juice - we didn't think we could find fresh coconuts at that time of the night. Next best thing, we hit an asian supermarket and grabbed a box of junk food. I think the boys grabbed at least ten packets of frozen coconut juice while I got some lollies.

We went back to Benoit and Ivy's place where the guys played poker and I opted for movie watching. We got stuck into the coconut juice and lollies.

When we were at the counter, I spied some
Mochi Choco Balls and decided to throw
them into the basket too.

We got hungry during the night - of course - and Fee brought us Maccas. Yay!

my Big Mac and frieds

We got jipped - they ran out of those free Olympic Games glasses - the only reason we all ordered Big Macs!
