I cooked a Scotch Steak tonight for dinner.

I cut the potato into slices but didn't cut all the way through on the bottom. Then I cooked it in the microwave and added some grated parmesan and cooked it for another thirty seconds until the cheese melted a bit. Too lazy to wait for it to bake in the oven!

San Remo's fresh cannelloni pasta sheets were reduced for quick sale at Woolworths and I thought it would be a nice change from using instant cannelloni tubes.

I roasted some pumpkin with some sea salt and olive oil in the oven last night. Tonight I mashed it up with a fork and added some ricotta and a splash of balsamic vinegar.

I rolled the cannelloni sheets up and lined a baking dish with them.

I made the tomato sauce with onion, garlic, tomato puree, basil and parsley to slather on top.

A sprinkle of grated cheese on top and into the oven.

Serve with a simple salad. And a glass of red!

This morning I woke up to the aroma of bacon. Lisa had breakfast ready for me! She's such a good wife.

The fresh chives were a really nice touch!

We headed out in eager anticipation of catching heaps of crabs! We kayaked out into the estuary to drop some nets but even with bricks to weigh them down, the under current was too strong and we spent most of our time paddling after our nets to haul them back in.

We spent the next few hours trudging up and down the estuary with scoop nets but with no luck either. It was too early in the day. I caught an undersized one, which I threw back. And a dead one.

Downheartedly, we packed up the kayaks and headed in search for lunch. It was about five minutes to noon when we drove through the Macdonalds drive thru and we asked if we could get the $2 Quarter Pounder yet. The drive thru attendant told us that he wasn't allowed to serve them to us until after 12 noon. So, we each bought a 50c cone and parked in one of the car bays to eat them and then headed through the drive thru again after 12 noon.

We headed home to Perth in the afternoon, crabless.

This afternoon Lisa and I set out on a mini road trip down to Mandurah with a couple of kayaks on the roof rack. The plan was to catch us some crabs!

We went for a drive around and walked down the beach to watch the sunset.

We enjoyed a huge, delicious meal down at the local pub.

Lisa had the Barramundi.

While I had the Garlic Prawns as an entree...

and the Filet Mignon - gorgeous!!

Tonight Kok Seng made dinner for us and I was running late so when I arrived, the turkey had been hacked to pieces and there wasn't much of the ham left!

Finely diced onion, mushroom, red capsicum, sliced spring onion and grated cheese.

Tonight we had an impromptu barbecue at my place. Kok Heng and I went to IGA and bought some meat and marinated it at home. We made vegetable kebabs and then fired up the Weber-Q when everyone arrived.

I had lunch at Yuki with some friends today. I've been craving some sashimi! Delicious and healthy!

The long hours at work this week really caught up to me and I was feeling far too tired to go out tonight. Benoit and Ivy dropped in though. Benoit was hungry so I, being the good hostess, cooked him some wantan soup.

They stayed for dinner and we were all feeling lazy so I put together the ingredients we needed to make our own dinner.
