Aargh! - still no time to hit the shops to get groceries. I had a few looks in the fridge and in the pantry and finally put together a salad in my mind for dinner. I went outside and picked some mizuna, horned mustard and cos lettuce leaves. It's fantastic being able to go outside and just pick what I want. I'll have to get around to taking some photos of how my garden is going. It's getting really green!

Before heading to work, I quickly grabbed something to eat. I decided on a quick packet of instant noodles. The only type of instant noodles I eat is the Indo Mie Mee Goreng.

Now, everyone eats their 'meegoreng' differently. I know people who eat it with a boiled egg, a fried egg, with all the flavourings, with prawns, chicken etc. I either eat it plain or with an egg cracked into the water just before the noodles are cooked to the softness I like. I find that when I'm more hungry, I like to have the egg with my mee goreng because it makes the dish more filling. I don't use all the flavourings. I only use the seasoning, the chilli and the dark sauce. If someone makes it for me, I will eat it however they prepare it. Sometimes my mum puts in slices of fish cake and I quite like that.

At work, I put my salad together.

washed salad leaves
sliced red onion
a small can of mixed beans
a can of tuna
chunks of Philadelphia cream cheese

dressing:
Teresa's sweet chilli sauce
white whine vinegar
olive oil

It was actually quite yum! Except no salad can make me feel full. I was eager to get home and get my hands on some meat or carbs.

Yep, back at home I had some leftovers. Mum had made some Japanese egg tofu with chicken, which I had with rice. I also had a bowl of cabbage and carrot soup. As I sat down to dig in, I got paged to work. I decided to pack my food up and eat it while I was waiting for results to come off the machines. I sat outside the lab eating, then when I went to get back inside, I remembered I'd taken off my lanyard with my ID on it, so I was LOCKED OUT! Luckily I found a nurse on her way home to let me back in so I didn't have to wait for security to come by and let me in *phew*
