*Groan*
Not only did I pay a hefty sum for that bottle of wine last night, but I paid for it again by waking up to a massive hangover today. I stayed in bed until 4pm. Yes...I slept the day away.
Nevermind, once I shook off the hangover it was back to business as usual in the kitchen. I used what was left of Teresa's pasta bake sauce to concoct a lasagne. There wasn't enough sauce so I had to improvise with layers of zucchini. I barely had enough lasagne sheets so I had to use them sparingly. It was a omnivorous lasagne. Teresa's sauce contained not only mince, but mushrooms, carrot and broccoli. So, with my zucchini it was a rather wholesome dish. Into the oven it went.
While the lasagne was baking, I prepared the lamb that is to be tomorrow night's dinner.
First, I processed some garlic, pinenutes, chilli flakes, and fresh sage and thyme from my garden in the processor. This is going to be the 'herb crust' on the lamb.
With the help of some olive oil, I got the mixture to adhere to the lamb. Messy work.
I wrapped each bone with some aluminium foil so that they won't burn in the oven, gladwrapped the dish and put it into the fridge.
Meanwhile, my lasagne was ready to serve.
I had two cups of instant miso soup before bed.
