We put together a huge lunch today in celebration of Ian's birthday.
And because it's Thursday.
And we're hungry.
Rucha made this gorgeous savoury rice dish. We were all a bit skeptical at first because most of us aren't fond of rice in desserts but we were all very surprised with how great it tasted! It's rice with spices, curry leaves and yoghurt. Very light and yum!

I had some friends over and cooked us all breakfast this morning. Ling and Shallen brought the freshly baked bread, Meng brought the eggs and Kong brought the chicken sausages!
Yummo!
We drove into Fremantle for a visit to the markets and had lunch at Taka's.
I enjoyed the Unagi Don and a pilsner from the Sail & Anchor.
We drove back to our neighbourhood and had coffee at Kelly's Cafe.
It was such a beautiful day, we took a stroll through the nursery and it was much like walking through a park.
I love the cherry blossoms that are in bloom.

I didn't have dinner tonight. Instead, I put together this little platter after work and nibbled at it with a few glasses of wine infront of the TV.
This is the life.
