I waited eagerly with my camera as Teresa took the tagine out of the oven and prised the lid off. The aroma was to die for!
preserved lemons, and spices
Cous Cous with Blue Vein Cheese
Fried Cabbage
For dessert Teresa panfried fresh pears dipped in icing sugar. The sugar caramelised and gave the pears a delicious syrupy coat. These were served with crushed nutes and Teresa's Cardomom & Rose Ice Cream.
Marissa made a refreshing mint tea for us when we moved to the couches to watch TV after dinner. She used Jasmine tea leaves, black tea leave, sugar and some fresh mint leaves. Really helped digest after the huge meal I had.
I am going to have to buy a tagine for myself! I'm looking forward to the next dinner at Marissa's place...I feel like Maeve on 'Food Safari' whenever Teresa watches for my reaction as I try one of her dishes. How I wish I could have Maeve's job.
*sigh* A girl can dream.
