Singapore Day 3

[0830hrs] I found some leftover sushi in the fridge that Mum had bought yesterday and ate a few pieces for breakfast. With all the biscuits, chocolate and snacks my Mum brought over from Perth, my aunty's kitchen is beginning to look like a supermarket.

[1000hrs] Down at the pool today, I met a few lovely ladies. One was an expat whose husband trains racehorses at Kranji so they come to Singapore for months at a time a few times a year. The other lady is her on holiday to visit her son and grandson. It was nice to have some conversation with familiar territory to talk about. All we were missing was the cabana boy and our cocktails.

[1200hrs] Aunty made lunch for us at home today.

Rice Porridge
Stirfried Vegetables
Panfried Fish
Egg Omelette

It rained for pretty much most of the day so we spent most of it indoors. We were expecting family to come visit us but I guess the rain kept them away.

[1500hrs] Christina and Mum braved the rain to cross the road and get us some afternoon snacks.

Sushi Pieces

Yew Char Kueh

[2000hrs] Aunty made dinner for us.

Marinated Chicken
Fried Fish
Chinese Vegetables

Very basic home-style cooking. Aunty and Mum have the same style of cooking so when we're here in Singapore on holidays, it still feels like we have some of the comforts of home when we eat at home.

[2100hrs] Our cousin came over and brought us dessert.

Tofu Fah
