[1200hrs] Went to the pool for a swim.
[1300hrs] Took the MRT to Orchard Road. The trip took 45 minutes. I love how they come up with new designs for the Orchard Road festive decorations each year. This year they've got a 'cute' theme with gorgeous bright coloured statues - I suppose you could call them elves.
[1420hrs] Lunch at Food Republic.
delicious pieces of tripe and beef
[1500hrs] Went shopping for the next several hours at Wisma Atria.
[1920hrs] Dinner at Food Village in Takashimaya.
[2015hrs] We went to Cathay Cineleisure and decided to watch a movie. We saw "Four Christmases" starring Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn. Apparently, according to my trustworthy source Mr Noel Stewart, this movie is called 'Four Holidays' back in Australia. I think I have to agree with him...this world is going insanely politically correct.
While waiting for the movie to start, we went to check our email and there was a creepy Frankenstein model behind me. It was creepy.
In the toilets, the hand dryer had a little monitor set into it and it showed previews for the movies that are currently screening at the 24 hour cinema. How amazing is that!?
I really enjoyed the movie - it was a good laugh. I don't think I've ever been to the movies with Jocelyn before. At least not just the two of us. There was one line in the movie in particular that really struck a chord with me.
"The one you fight with the most is the one you're most like".
[2300hrs] We took the MRT home after the movie.
[2345hrs] We stopped by the little group of food stalls that's open 24 hours a day to get supper.
