Smoked Salmon with Piccolini
Zucchini, Sundried Tomatoes, Chives, Onion, Garlic & Chilli
Piccolini is mini farfalle - 'bowtie' pasta. I like using the regular sized farfalle for creamy pasta sauces and the mini farfalle for olive oil based sauces. I cooked this pasta yesterday before taking Simba for a walk and going to Fleurette and Noel's for dinner.

Mum cooks in bulk and hopes that my sisters will eat it all. More often than not, there are leftovers. I usually end up eating these leftovers because I hate seeing food go to waste. So, I had this chicken because my mum had cooked about six pieces - for two people! She doesn't eat much meat herself. The chicken looks like it's burnt but it isn't. The skins practically caramelised with all their yummy fat - crunchy and definitely the best part of the chicken!
After dinner, one of Mum's friends brought her daughter over to see if she could borrow any text books for university this year. They didn't think to bring their dog, Pumba, so her husband drove back home (they only live a few streets away) and came back with their dog.
Simba was so happy to see his friend! They got along rather well. Pumba was more interested in exploring this new place, while Simba was trying his best to convince Pumba to play with him.
I can't wait until Spectra gets all her vaccinations and can finally meet Simba.
