Greek salad, red cabbage coleslaw
I took a walk around the deck and took the last photos I would take of the ocean in this light from the ship.
I stopped by the Ceramics at Sea class to pick up my masterpiece. They applied a shiny gloss and fired it – the colours in the finished piece look darker than when they were first painted on. I’m going to have to find a little frangipani to glue to it as a finishing touch.
I went to the trivia this afternoon. Our team came equal first with a few other teams and we received Dawn Princess medals for prizes. What a way to finish the cruise!
Today was the day for farewells and chasing up last minute contacts so that I may stay in touch with some of the lovely people I have met onboard. I have yet to email alot of them, but thought I would update my blog with the entire cruise before emailing them a link.
I dressed for formal dinner for the last time. We were all a little sad as we arrived at the dinner table.
After dinner, I went to my cabin to change. The cruise usually has an ‘Island Night’ in keeping with the Hawaiin theme, but we found out that they were holding it on the second half of the cruise between Hawaii and Sydney. This meant that we missed out
since we were disembarking in Hawaii. Not to worry...I organised our own...
I soon tired of the plastic shells that were digging into me uncomfortably and went to change. With Brad #2 and Any in tow, we went to Jammers for a drink and dance.
Afterwards, we went to grab some food and found one of the spas at the back of the ship still full with water (they had drained the main pools for cleaning after the food fight the other day).
We stayed in the spa until we realised the water was slowly draining out.
It was late but I didn’t want to go to bed since I had to be up early for disembarkation. We walked around the ship and just as I was contemplating going to bed, I spotted some lights dotting the horizon.
I couldn’t take any photos because it was too dark, but the sun rose quickly and Andy and I went to the front of the ship to watch as we sailed into Honolulu.
