Lunch at Work
Barramundi Fillet with Lemon, Coriander & Ginger
Sausage and Fried Onions

Yep, these were the only leftovers besides some potato salad from my BBQ yesterday. The fish was beautiful! I'll have to make this for work more in the future. So easy and healthy!

After work, I stopped by at the shops and got some snapper roe. I remember the first time I had roe. I was probably about ten years old and Dad had brought some fish back on one of his many fishing trips. Mum cleaned the fish and she found some roe sacs in some of them. I remember she panfried them and I loved the texture of the little roe in my mouth when I ate it. I have often asked Mum to go buy some roe and make it for me like she did on that day, but she never has. I was really happy to come across these little gems. Mum panfried them and I ate them just like that. You could have them with soy sauce if you wanted to, but I was happy with them just the way they are. Sort of like crumbly bits of bread with a hint of fish flavours.

For dinner, I used the remainder of my homemade lobster stock to make soup.

onion, leek, garlic, prawns, fish, squid, chilli & thyme

I picked the thyme and yellow chillies from my garden. My chilli plants are outgrowing their pots and I should have transplanted them to bigger pots a while ago.

Creamy Saffron Seafood Stew with Risoni

I made a little cave by cutting a plastic container up for Pinchy. He seems to like it.
