Last night we went out for dinner to celebrate Jocelyn and David's birthdays.

HAWKERS CUISINE
66 Roe Street, Northbridge

We'd all been hard at work during the day so we needed some Kopi-O to wake us up.

We had the Jellyfish to start with.
It tasted like Mum's Achar. Yum!

Jocelyn had the Hot and Sour Soup.

Jocelyn ordered and, as usual, she ordered far too much food for us!

Sambal Kang Kong

I don't remember the name but this Pork dish was awesome!

Oatmeal(??) Prawns

Marmite Chicken

Steamed Dhufish

Tofu

This beef dish was a let down compared to the other dishes.

We shared an Ice Kachang for dessert.

We divvied up the leftovers between us in five takeaway containers, which I had for lunch today at work.

THURSDAY WORK LUNCH - WRAPS

We wanted something a bit on the healthy side for lunch today so we decided on wraps.

I roasted some chicken last night with lots of spices to shred up for our wraps.

I also roasted a separate breast with rosemary, garlic and slices of lemon.

Altogether, we put together a huge, healthy spread!

I tried to put a little bit of everything onto my spinach wrap.

Melinda's massive wrap.

Lidie made Carrot Cake.

Ian whipped the cream for our pavlova.

I decorated the pavlova with the cream and fresh strawberries.

I had drinking chocolate powder and a Flake bar in my locker that I used.
It tasted as awesome as it looked!

PUMPKIN & RICOTTA CANNELLONI

I usually make spinach and ricotta cannelloni but last night I wanted to try something different. I roasted some pumpkin the night before and then last night I mashed it up and combined it with some ricotta and seasoned it with salt and pepper.

I half cooked the cannelloni tubes before filling them and they can finish cooking in the oven.

I made the sauce a few nights ago and spread some of it between the layers of cannelloni.

I topped it off with grated cheese and into the oven!

I got the nod of approval from the folks at work when I brought it in for lunch.

MIX 'N' MINGLE

I threw a little party tonight - the first of many!?

I had to work all day so I just prepared some nibblies and asked people to bring snacks over.

As the guests arrived, I made some drinks.

Pink Lemonade with freshly squeezed lemons.

Fruit Punch - fresh fruit, Triple Sec and Strawberry Sparkling.

Meng brought some Sausage Rolls and Meat Pies.

Sarah made these gorgeous little Red Velvet Cupcakes.

Loan made Nachos!

I had a platter of cold meats.

An awesome night, girls and boys!
