Breakfast
Instant Mee Goreng with Egg

Snack after Work
Roast Chicken
with Beetroot & Salad

I was famished after work so I threw together this meal quickly and gobbled it up before heading outside to do a bit of gardening. The salad was just some mixed gourmet salad leaves, avocado, cucumber, sundried tomatoes and whole egg mayonnaise.

chillies, roma tomatoes, green sweet basil,
purple basil, cayenne chillies, Italian parsley

garlic chives, basil and rocket

This chilli plant caught my eye with its bright colourful chillies.

I transplanted all the new seedlings out of my herb planter boxes and into this esky I filled with potting mix. As they get older, I'll be able to figure out what plants they are and then move them or give them away.

The weather was beautiful outside, so I finally dug up all the dead plants and this is what's left:

chilli
eggplant
capsicum
lebanese cucumber
zucchini

In the evening, I took Simba over to Noel and Fleurette's place for him to meet Spectra for the very first time. They were so gorgeous together! Simba was a bit shy being in another dog's territory, but Spectra was fantastic. She showed signs of submissiveness to encourage Simba to play with her. It was so great to watch them together.

Dinner
Surf & Turf
with Baked Potatoes & Salad

I cooked the steak medium rare because it was a really thick cut. With the pan juices remaining in the pan, I cooked some prawns with butter, chilli and garlic. I served these prawns over my steak and drizzled some of the sauce over the salad leaves.

I spent most of the night in the kitchen cooking. I prepared dinner for tomorrow night, but that'll be in tomorrow's post.

As for tonight...to steal a line from that Madeline cartoon (the one with the little orphan girls in France),

that's all there is...there isn't...anymore.
