Today for lunch I made some muchly missed pasta.

SAGE PRAWNS WITH SPAGHETTI

Ingredients:

  • 10 large sage leaves
  • 1 tspn sea salt
  • 1 tspn black peppercorns
  • 1 tspn chilli flakes
  • 2 Tbn olive oil
  • 1/2 brown onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 200g peeled prawns, deveined and halved lengthwise
  • spaghetti cooked al dente

    Method:
    1. Processed the sage leaves, sea salt and black peppercorns in a processor.
    2. In a pan, heat the olive oil and sautee onions. After a minute, add the garlic and chilli flakes.
    3. Add the processed sage mixture and cook for a few minutes.
    4. Add the wine and cook for a few minutes.
    5. Add the prawns and cook for a few minutes.
    6. Toss through the spaghetti, adding more olive oil if required.
    7. Serve with fresh sage leaves as garnish.

    At work, we were all still recoiling from the after effects of yesterday's storm. We ordered pizza to chill out.

    I had a sweet tooth and dug into the sweets that Nadine brought in from her engagement party over the weekend. I absolutely loved the 'melting moments' (top right)
