GREENHOUSE
100 St. Georges Terrace, Perth CBD

I have heard all good things about this little restaurant in the heart of the Perth CBD and have been eager to dine here. I caught up with a girlfriend for lunch and was instantly in awe at the design and chic-organic ambience.

Angus Beef with Romesco Sauce & Summer Vegetables - $24

The steak was perfectly cooked, the vegetables were cooked just a little under so they retained a bit of crunch and freshness. The sauce was a bit of an odd flavour to go with the steak. I would have preferred a mushroom or pepper sauce, or perhaps just a drizzle of olive infused with herbs to keep with the 'fresh' feel of the dish.

Strawberry & Yoghurt Fool with Meringue & Pistachio - $14

The dessert was fantastic! A nice, light strawberry yoghurt mousse with crumbled bits of meringue and pistachio. The fresh strawberries around the bowl were nice and sweet. A perfect summer dish.

I would love to try the cocktails here one evening!

After grocery shopping, it was nearing 5pm and the shops were beginning to close. I managed to grab two Cornjacks for half price - bargain!

Oh, how I love thee, Cornjack!

After the late afternoon snack of Cornjacks, I skipped dinner and went to Noel and Fleurette's place for drinks and nibblies. I rummaged around in the fridge and pantry for an assortment of things that we put together.

Camembert, Avocado, Pickled Chillies and fresh Bread

Herring in Hot Sauce

Ooh, the herring was awesome with a slice of fresh tomato, chilli and basil!

We also had Tomato, Cherry Bocconcini and Basil

A day of relatively healthy foods!
