[1000hrs] This morning we took Zhi Heng down to the pool where he spent a short while wading in the water until it began to drizzle.
[1020hrs] We went downstairs to the basement to have brunch at the food court.
Yummy!
[1400hrs]We had organised a late checkout so Ivy went out to buy us some lunch. She went to the restaurant we dined at last night - Imperial Treasure - and bought us some dim sum.
deepfried wantans
deepfried squid
chicken feet – mine & Richard’s favourite!
siew mai
roast pork
OH MY GOD THE ROAST PORK WAS HEAVENLY!! The crackle was just the perfect amount of crunchiness and the meat melted into the layer of fat just beneath the skin. You could not see the distinction between the layers – it was the best pork I’ve ever eaten!!
[1430hrs] Mum, Aunty and I made the most of our remaining time in the hotel watching the cooking show on TV. I really would love to get Foxtel just for the Lifestyle and Discovery channel. Just don’t think I would have time to sit infront of the TV enough to make the most of it though.
[1900hrs] Back at home, we decided to stay in for dinner. Mum cooked while Aunty returned to her babysitting duties with Lucas.
fried leftover turkey
beef with peppers
leftover chicken curry
soup with Chinese vegetables and fish
