Tonight we congregated at Long's place for dinner.

Freshly deepfried Spring Rolls

We also had prawn crackers but I was too busy eating them to take a photo!

Long's mum prepared everything for us - we just had to grab a drink, find a place at the table and get started.

For dinner - Vietnamese Spring Rolls

I love the practice of communal eating. It's a great way to unwind, catch up with friends (both new and old) and enjoy food together. The closer you have to sit, the cosier it is.

Long's mum marinated chicken and beef.

I made my spring rolls with bean sprouts, vermicilli, lettuce and beef. We dipped them in either hoi sin sauce or fish sauce with chilli.
