PENANG - DAY THIRTEEN

We woke up, packed our belongings and checked out of the hotel before heading out for a late breakfast.

BALI HAI SEAFOOD MARKET
Gurney Drive, Penang

I was drooling over the display of fresh seafood in the aquariums along one side of the restaurant.

They let me hold one of the lobsters!

Here comes the dim sum trolley!

Tripe!

All this cost about AUD$20!!

Geoducks standing to attention!
I must try these one day!!

Next stop we walked to the nearby shopping mall where we bumped into the newlyweds who were having lunch with family before flying out on their honeymoon.

Red Bean Ice Cream

I succumbed to some Maccas at the airport. I had the double cheeseburger meal. Mmmm...meat.

We touched down in Singapore and made it in record time to the Ibis on Bencoolen hotel to check in. We dumped our bags in our room and then headed around the corner in search for dinner and to do some shopping in the Bugis area.

Singapore Curry Laksa - SD$4.30

Ivy bought some Poh Piah freshly made.

Tasting (and buying) meat products from Bee Cheng Hiang.

AH CHEW DESSERTS
1 Liang Seah Street, Singapore

At my cousin's recommendation, we found this little place and had some dessert. It was so crowded - a good sign!

I had the Watermelon & Honey Dew Sago.

Benoit and Ivy shared the Mango Sago.

We had a relatively early night, but not without first snacking on some takeaway Hainanese Chicken Rice!
